I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Joe Duley.

I am a television director cameraman and producer who also manages production companies. My directorships include Left Hand Drive Productions Ltd. and Tongue In Cheek Records Ltd. Recently I have worked on a National Geographic TV special in India, and for the BBC’s Natural History Unit. I am also co-producing a new musical for the stage.

Joe and I go back a long way. He truly is one of a very rare breed.

Joe has many positive attributes. For a start, he has great skill with people. There is no doubt that he has the knack of making people shine, whether it be someone on the production team, or a shy interviewee who just can’t relax. When Joe is ‘in town’, there is barely a person who will not be on first name terms with him after a few days. It’s an attribute you can’t put a price on.

Joe is also a very hard and efficient worker. We have co-produced projects together, and I am always impressed (and sometimes exhausted!) by his desire to get things done quickly and to get them done right. One particular example springs to mind whereby Joe organised a screening and whipped up PR for a pilot project in little more than an afternoon. It was, I think, impossible.

Joe also has great comedic ability, whether it is on the radio, on screen, or in his writing. There is, in my opinion, a great comedic talent lurking in the guise of Joe Duley.

Most of all, Joe will never let you down. I can wholeheartedly recommend Joe as a great person to have on any team.
