About Media Resume.com!
The staff at Media Resume.com have all worked and continue to work in the media industry. Media resume.com was launched in 1998
as a website builder for media professionals. We re-launched Media Resume.com in 2010 simply as a tool for media professionals
to have their resume' posted on a premium domain name with job searching help and a way to make connections with others in the same
field.
The media industry is continuing to rely more and more on computers. TV jobs use Final Cut
Pro and Avid Non-Linear Editing Systems, robotic cameras, digital
soundboards, servers to record and store video, etc., and Radio has gone the same route. Radio uses computer automation systems like
WO
Automation for Radio (formally Scott Studios) and dozens of other similar systems. The entire radio station IS a computer.
All production is done with computer editing with programs like
Adobe Audition. If you do not know how to at least do the very basics on these systems and others
like them, you can not get by in TV and Radio unless you are strictly a TV "Talent", and most Talents have to start with
producing, which also relies on computer technology. Since media professionals have to know their way around a computer, that we
stopped our website building service and are now focused on simply presenting your resume' to potential employers.
Our focus is simple. Allow media professionals to design their own resume' and post it on this website. We will market individuals
on this site, as well as send out targeted releases to our huge database of broadcasters and scouts. We will Email our clients
every time that we see a potential job that they are qualified for. This is a manual process, not automated. This means that we
will not be sending you thousands of meaningless job leads, only ones that we can match you to. It may be dozens a week, it may be hundreds -
depending on what your experience is and what is an actual job opening.
Your Resume' can be a HTML or Flash site, or simply a MS Word document or .pdf page. It's up to you. We suggest that
you have a website complete with samples of your work included so that employers know your skills upon looking at your resume'. Talk a look at the
resume's already on this site for some examples. Server companies like
Godaddy.com offer inexpensive and simple ways to create and host a website. Search through some
of these and find one that you feel would be best for you to make a website:
Godaddy.com
Webs.com
Yola.com
Freewebsitetemplates.com
Wix.com
1 and 1.com
Dotster.com
We are looking forward to working with you to find that dream job - and to show you some options for finding jobs that you
don't know about. Thanks for checking out Mediaresume.com!
